The Whole Caboodle©

"For when you want a bit of Everything"

Hello and welcome to the Whole Caboodle (T.W.C.).  So what's it all about then?  Well, T.W.C. is the best ezine available on the internet today.  Mind you, I might be slightly biased, because I write it :)  This site is where you can download the FREE stuff that I write about in the ezine, and of course, subscribe to future editions.

A sample issue of T.W.C. is available for you to look at, please click here.  If you use Outlook Express 5, (or any other email client capable of reading HTML) then you should be able to receive TWC - as is,  - subscribe to the HTML version by clicking this link  HTML Version

If the mail client that you use is unable to receive HTML,  you can still receive a HTML version by downloading the 2 (small) self extracting .exe files highlighted below.  To subscribe to future editions in this format click this link  Self exe version

You will still need a browser to view it, but if you are reading this, then I guess you already have one, huh? :)

Click here and here to download the two exe. files.  These will place two folders on your desktop (1x HTML folder, and a folder for the images).  Open the folder containing the HTML file, then left click, hold and drag that file out onto the desktop.  Once on the desktop, click the HTML file and TWC will open.  If this all sounds a bit fiddly, I assure you that it's not in practice :)

Takes about 40 Secs to download.

There is also a text only version available.  To subscribe click this link  Text Only Version

Description:
"InfoTip Extension" is a shell extension for MSIE4.0 or later.
It's a small window that appears when you point your Mouse Cursor at a folder or file.

"InfoTip Extension" adds this InfoTip feature to files that are not supported by MSIE.
You just need to point at a file, if you want to view it's  information.

to get the Info Tip Extender  (1 - 2 min download)

TIP! - A very quick way to save web pages for off line viewing.

On your desktop create a new folder (Right click>New>Folder.)  Call it  whatever you want.  Open the web page whose graphics you are interested in.  When it has fully loaded, from your browser toolbar choose: "File">"Save as".  (whatever).  Next to the uppermost drop down box (save in:) is a little downward facing arrow, click this and choose desktop from the list.  You should now see your new folder,  open this folder and choose save as a web page (this option is available from  the "save as type" drop down box).  This folder will now contain the page and ALL the graphics  saved as individual files!!

This tip beats the life out of "Right clicking each individual graphic and using "save picture as" or whatever the Netscape equivalent is.  How many sites advise you to use that method?  Too many!  (this is the sort of stuff the Hints 'n' Tips section is made up of)

Unsubscribe is simple, click here

Every Issue of TWC includes a section for unsubscribing - as of 09/03/200 I am pleased to announce that no one has taken up this option.

(Mind you, we are still on issue 1)

The Whole Caboodle is Bloody Marvelous!

But Hey!  Don't take my word for it, look what one of our more famous subscribers had to say :)

Ronnie Reagan says "Get it for the Gipper"

Well he might, if he had read it :)

What else? Oh yes, there's an Entertainment/General Knowledge quiz with each issue called "The Mind Wringer".  We think the balance of questions is just right - take a look and tell us what you think.  Send your answers in before the next issue ( because that's when we give the answers out) and if you have a high score your name will be added to the TWC "Boy Am I Brainy" board.
